Trinity/Trinity's Fading

Trinity/Trinity's Fading

Trinity Synopsis

Kaelyn:

The inspiration behind the shoot for Trinity was inspired by what I envision in my mind, things I see online, and literally the whole world around me as my inspiration. My main focus of the shoot was having community; One of my goals this year is I really wanted to be more active in my community & build relationships with likeminded creatives; Creating this family of people I can rely on, who I can trust and they can trust me to execute vision because we believe in each other. I dug through Instagram to find students, alumni, and local creatives, to help each other grow; For example my styling and photography business, as well as "Tank", a studio manufactured by Aaron Tran, alongside the personal brand of Benjamin Coryell. The attention snatching "Trinity shirt" (Aaron Tran) complemented by the deep,hiding-blue two piece (Benjamin Coryell) was a match brought together by Cupid himself.

When it comes to being creative, you tend to improvise; last minute we had decided on the wet hair, as you (Sergio) just recently cut your hair, which was not apart of my plan. Until you had sent me some pictures and it looked like you had just showered, I was like, this is it! omg, we have to wet your hair wet. So its like super cool things like that, that you manifest these ideas into reality and bring them on set. The energy is always nice when I do photoshoots, its a really nice feeling, I really do feel at home when I'm in the studio because photography wasn't even something I naturally wanted to do. I ended up doing it by accident per say, because wardrobe styling was always my number one “girl”,so I just ended up being a two band women and doing both with photography as well. So the shoot was a success and I'm super happy with the end goal, I am always investing in my skills, learning, and wanting to grow. I'm so grateful that I'm able to do these things, I'm able to do what I love, its a huge blessing and I cant wait to see what the future has in store.

Trilogy's Fading Synopsis

Thank you first and foremost to God & Kaelyn, this was my first time stepping back in front of a camera since Nov,13,22 (Hema).I am always incredibly grateful to be a muse for people’s creative ideas in the photography realm. Even being incredibly grateful doesn't always mean you see eye to eye with your collaborators, label it as a raging ego or an immense creative passion. Whichever you choose, they both lead you to the konception of Trinity's Fading.

Again I am so thankful for Kaelyn for giving me this amazing opportunity and allowing me to employ my creative vision using all of her creative efforts. I remember we were up late going through some of the edits she had made and amongst her spectacular photos I just remember being displeased with my appearance in some of the photos thinking (maybe I'm washed) gratefully, the strongest photos weighed more than the unpleasing in my opinion. And in the middle of our conversation when she gave me the green light, the koncept of Trinity's Fading beamed into my head and from there I knew it was cemented.

"Trininty's Fading, I Sunk Into The Blue, When I Lost His Grace"  if you could guess; is about losing hope, guidance, will, and passion. Maybe relatable to some, very relatable to the author, as losing hope/faith is a rabbit hole many tend to fall into and some never climb back out. This theme of hopelessness is what I tried to convey through my editing of said photos, hence the golden tinge of grace slowly fading into a gloomy, deep river blue; emitting the feelings of fading away, sinking below, and losing hope.

Being a creative I love building a world around my works whether its through months and layers of paint, a simple blog post, a poem that just flows through the crevices of your mind with every word, a simple gesture captured through a 50mm lens, and the way my characters poses and struts on the run way; I love imbuing my actions with depth to truly create a character. Whether all of it flies right over your head, or you look on with excitement, in the end, it's there.

Thank You,

Sincerely Yours,

                           Sergio.
